Concurrent with his acting career, Robert was practicing his craft as a Director, Musical Director, and Acting Coach. He's directed shows in Texas, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and New York City, including the Off-Off Broadway Review Award winner for Best Play: THE SKIN OF OUR TEETH at the Fifth Avenue Theatre in Manhattan.

Running Red Giant affords Robert the opportunity to explore the Life Story rights of his clients.  Many artists do not realize they possess these valuable rights (Life Story). As he and his team discuss options - Live Theatre, Major Motion Picture, Streaming Series, TV, Documentary - Robert can adroitly apply his background and experience as an Actor, Singer, Dancer, Musician, Director, Songwriter and Producer to his client's advantage.  Several projects are already in the works including a Broadway-bound musical based on the life and music of Don Robey, the first Black record mogul in the US, called TURN ON YOUR LOVE LIGHT. More to come...

In Development

Turn On Your Love Light:
The Music of Don Robey

TURN ON YOUR LOVE LIGHT is a Mid-20th Century Jukebox musical with iconic hits from Don Robey. Set in 1940s Houston, we spend an evening with members of the “Peacock Club” - based on Don Robey’s very own dinner club - as they navigate life, love, music, mistakes, and racial tensions in the segregated South. The lead producing team of TURN ON YOUR LOVE LIGHT cannot wait to champion the legacy of Don Robey, and bring this phenomenal work to Broadway and a theater near you.
